You can hear me play around town here in Chicago as a member of Lake Effect Clarinet Quartet or a little further north as principal clarinet with the Racine Symphony Orchestra. In addition to my adventures with LECQ and the RSO, I keep a busy freelance schedule, having performed with various ensembles including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, and the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. While B-flat/A is what I typically play, I feel equally comfortable on Bass and E-flat clarinet. I'm a DePaul grad ('09 and '11) and studied with Larry Combs and Julie DeRoche. As a curious musician, I am always interested in trying new things. If you would like to collaborate, please get in touch!
Educator
I am a private lesson instructor and a clinician, and have given clinics at high schools, colleges, and other festivals around the Midwestern United States. My studio includes students from all over the world including United States, Canada, The Netherlands, Mexico, Japan, Germany, Australia, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, and more. Locally I teach at York Community High School, a Grammy Gold Signature School. Many of my students have been admitted to prestigious music schools, all-district & all-state festivals, youth orchestras, and have received high ratings at solo & ensemble festivals. My adult students are frequently top members of their local community orchestras and bands and some are active professional musicians.
Online Academy
That's right! I have created an online world of learning opportunities for clarinet players, from free content on Cally's Clarinet Channel to a full online learning community at Cally's Clarinet Academy. It is in the beginning stages now and will officially launch on October 4th, 2025 with the release of my first mini-course Finger Speed Mini Course: Level 1.
